Are you ready to get started as a Commission Junction affiliate? If so, there are a few steps that you are going to have to go through to sign up for an affiliate account.
I have to admit before telling you to sign up as a CJ affiliate that this is my least favorite place to be an affiliate marketer at.
I have never had much success with getting leads or selling any of the products in their marketplace and have never received a single commission check from them.
I’m not telling you this so that you will not sign up…I just don’t want you to think that I am some super affiliate at Commission Junction and then get your feelings hurt if you don’t have much success with them.
I like to let people know about all of the major affiliate networks so that they know what is available to them, and this is one of the major ones.
Some people have success with CJ and some do not.
With that being said here are the steps that you will need to go through in order to sign up as an affiliate at Commission Junction.
The first thing you have to do is go over to the website CJ.com
Once you are there you will want to look for a tab on the left that says “Publisher” and click on the drop down.
You will see a tab that says “Application” which will take you to the User Agreements and all the legal mumbo jumbo.
After you read through everything, agree to it all, and submit it, you will be taken to the application portion where you fill in your details.
This is something that you will need to have a website in place to do because it will ask you what your website address is.
I’m pretty sure that you can enter the web address of a Blogger Blog, HubPage, Squidoo Lens, or any of the other free to use sites, but you might want to have a self-hosted site just to be on the safe side.
After you fill out the application they will send you an email and let you know that it has been reviewed and will let you know if you have been approved or not.
That’s all there is to signing up for the Commission Junction affiliate program.
I’m not going to make a video on this one, because this is probably the most I am going to be talking about CJ.
As I mentioned before, it’s not a place that I make any money, so I really can’t show you how to make money with them.
I want to be able to show everyone how to make a good residual income as an affiliate, so I will never waste your time or mine by trying to teach you something I know absolutely nothing about.
Fair enough?
Well…this post completes my series on how to be an affiliate at 3 of the major affiliate networks.
Pretty soon we are going to be diving into the good stuff…How to make money at each one of them.
I am going to be spending a fair amount of time going through the processes that I go through to make money with Amazon and Clickbank.
When you have learned those two things you will be able to apply that knowledge to any affiliate program you are interested in.
There are millions of affiliate programs that you can join, so if you are interested in affiliate marketing and want to learn from someone who knows how to teach you, then make sure to come back.
Also, don’t forget to sign up for my email list at the top so that you can get information that is reserved only for my subscribers. I will never send you any spam or try to sell you anything through my email list. The only thing you will get is some good solid information and tips that will help you to make money online.
Come back soon and I will start showing you how to make some money with my favorite affiliate program of all time…
To Success,
Jeff Sherwood
