Have you been noticing those website barcodes that businesses are using for SmartPhone users? Today I am going to show you how to get one for your website.
I just want to tell you a little bit about these barcodes before I tell you where to go get one so that you will know how they work and how you can use them.
When someone sees your barcode on a business card, flyer, envelope, or anything else you want to print it out on, they will be able to scan it with their SmartPhone.
Once they have scanned it the barcode will take them to your website. It is very quick and very easy for people to do and a lot of businesses are starting to use it.
I have been using it on my business card here lately and love the reaction that I have been getting. I haven’t handed someone a business card recently and not gotten a reaction like, “That is so Awesome!” since I started using my barcode on the back of it.
Now, how can you get your website barcode?
Well, just like we turn to Google for everything else, we are going to turn to them again.
They have a link shortening service called goo.gl that you will be able to use to get your barcode for free.
If you have a Google account then you will have to sign in so that you can get your barcode as well as see the stats of the people who click on your short link if you are using it.
Once you get to the page where your barcode is located all you have to do is right click on the barcode and “view image”
After you have done that you will want to right click on the barcode once more and click on “save image”
Once you have it saved to your computer all you have to do is find a place to use it.
You can use it on stationary, envelopes, flyers, or do like I did and put it on your business card.
If you get creative you will be able to find a lot of different places to use your barcode to get some new visitors over to your website.
I am currently working on the next video in the series that I am creating so make sure to keep your eyes open for it. I will be telling my email subscribers about it before I tell anyone else, so if you want to get the latest information before it comes out then make sure you are on the list.
To Success,
Jeff Sherwood
