This is a question I get asked a lot by my family members and friends after I tell them that I am an affiliate marketer. I love affiliate marketing! And I’m sure that after I explain it to you and once you start trying it out you are going to love it too!

I first discovered Affiliate Marketing when I was just getting started and wanted to find a way to make money online. I ran across a few different ways, but quickly fell in love with the idea and concept of being an affiliate.

Basically, being an Affiliate Marketer is where you get paid for selling someone’s product for them. There are a lot of great products that you can sell and there are various rates of commission that each affiliate program pays its affiliates.

The highest commissions are usually for digital products such as eBooks or Software programs. There are people who pay their affiliates very well over at Clickbank which has a large selection of digital products you can sell.

My favorite affiliate program so far is Amazon. I love being an Amazon affiliate for several different reasons which will be discussed in other posts, but for now I will just tell you that I love them and I highly recommend that you get started with Amazon if you are looking for an affiliate program to join.

Signing up for an affiliate program is free to do, so there is never any risk on your part or any up front investment needed.

There is also the benefit of not having to keep up with orders or ship out any of the products that you sell.

Think of being an affiliate as being the middleman. You are the connection between the buyer and the seller. All you have to do is show someone who is looking to buy something…where they can buy it.

In my opinion this is the easiest type of marketing to learn and can be the most lucrative for those who take the time to learn and understand how to make money with it.

I truly want for all of my friends and family to be successful at making money online and I know that affiliate marketing is a way to make some great extra cash….get rich even!

How can I get traffic? You say…

At the top of this page you will notice that I am giving away 5 traffic tips that will help you to be able to get traffic to your web page. No matter what type of web page you have that you want for people to see, you will be able to use these tips to get people to come over to check out what you have going on.

Go up to the top and sign up for these tips and start reading them over. Then, later down the road, when you need them all you will have to do is pull them out and review them.
